Do you remember the time?

It’s a presidential election year, again (ugh!). Unfortunately, many Americans only focus on our politics every four years. Meanwhile, the world is watching us with fear. I can assure you there are many people in other nations, who are more aware of American politicians than some of our family members, coworkers and neighbors. Some of us really don’t care. That’s pretty sad.

(NY) Times of Dysfunction in Congress

Remember the time Nancy Pelosi was in charge? Stuff got done! Vox

Americans — whether we vote are not — are beneficiaries or victims of our policymakers, who we employ. How can people victimize their employers and the employers have no problem allowing to happen? Well we do just that when we don’t use our voice and vote. Paying attention to every election is a necessity.

It’s been 14 years since Affordable Care Act (aka #Obamacare) was signed into law. It has been considered the most consequential healthcare legislation to pass since Medicare and Medicaid, via the 1965 Social Security Act. It wasn’t a perfect law, but the uselessness of those who brought (and still bring) zero better ideas to the healthcare is laughable. Some politicians whisper about dismantling the pillars of our healthcare systems. And, if given a chance, they will.

Remember how some folk disliked Obamacare-because of the name — and they are the same thing? See some of the (probably still) dazed and confused here (thanks Jimmy Kimmel).

Remember how some politicians (with their federally subsidized (socialist?) healthcare) wasted their time & OUR tax dollars to try to repeal ACA-100 times-because this legendary legislation was crafted and signed thanks to President Barack Hussein Obama’s & VP Biden’s leadership? See if your representative or candidate is on this list of anti-ACA lawmakers.

And, remember how many politicians promised to “make our healthcare better” — and have done nothing in 14 years (unless they got voted out). The “predecessor” had four years to “make it better” and did nothing by cost 1.2million lives due to mishandling Covid, which he and members of his party called a hoax. People are still suffering from the government mismanagement of the pandemic, and now “the predecessor’s” only healthcare policy is another attempt to repeal Obamacare.

You can laugh at the dazed and confused or complain on social media. But, if you don’t vote, you contribute to creating ineffective politicians. YOU let them come to work. YOU let them get hired. If given a chance, our healthcare and much more will be doomed. Remember, they work (or DON’T work) for you.

TAKE ACTION. Remember ALL OF IT on upcoming election days and, for your health’s sake (physical & mental), Vote BETTER people.
