Politicians Profit from Private Prisons — you might too.

The #NewJimCrow has found a new revenue stream. Private prison owners/builders makers. now see dollar signs in immigrant bodies. These companies are enjoying a solid return on the politicians they have invested in, who are signing multi-million dollar contracts to keep beds full. You might be protesting against the horrible treatment of immigrants, meanwhile, your shopping is helping pay for this Mylar blankets.

Your discounts could be attributed to prisoners picking your foods or building your furniture. That money goes right into building properties that U.S. and state governments are using to detain immigrants and others. Do companies you patronize use prison labor; the industry that profits from false incarceration’s, youth detention, money bail detainees & immigrant internment? You might be surprised — Check it out.

Some companies on the list might have ceased using services that help private prisons profit. Some companies should be added. Do some digging. Call companies you frequent and check their policies. You might move them change plans. Don’t get too excited about the stock market, until you seek if you are profiting via a mutual fund that has private prison investment. Check with your retirement investments — ask your financial manager

Note, the biggest corporation in America, the U.S. government, isn’t on the list, but it should be. Government is the largest customer for private prisons & a greedy exploiter of their labor. Call your electeds —state and federal — and tell them to stop funding modern day slavery.
