Betterment

I was there — 2x for #PresidentBarackObama. The early rising didn’t matter. Bitter cold didn’t matter. Endless crowds didn’t matter. Confusing navigation didn’t matter. Standing for hours Hunger didn’t matter. Having to “hold it” for hours didn’t matter. Walking on near frost-bitten feet back home didn’t matter.

What mattered was being able to witness two beautiful & historic events. What mattered was being there to show support for change & hope. What mattered was joining friends from around the country and the world to celebrate a wonderful victory. What mattered, then, was a belief that our nation was on the road to betterment. I was there for good. I know, that the road to better will be met with some roadblocks and defeat. That, too, shall pass. Betterment is still in my sights. How about yours?
