As the World prepares for the Holiday season (and seasonal allergies)…
As you finish shopping for presents to others as you prepare for Christ’s birthday, the winter solstice, or other cultural/spiritual/communal feasts and celebrations what’s in your humanity wallet?
Do you carry: Hypocrisy? Bigotry? Corruption? Abuse? Neglect? Othering? Contempt for compassion?
Or, do you treat false prophets as deities?
Will you celebrate politicians, pastors, preachers, priests, parents, potentates, parliamentarians philosophers, pundits, principals & parishioners who act as modern day pharaohs?
Maybe you will ostracize family members & friends because you don’t like who they love-when LOVE Is your God’s greatest gift?
Or, perhaps you simply bask in your multi-phobia ministries that cherry-pick banishing people-who YOUR GOD fearfully & wonderfully made?
Perhaps, kindness gives you hives? Do you sneeze at the idea of helping somebody else? Maybe you are allergic to compassion.
If you practice your faiths, celebrations, traditions in ways that condemn others (or embrace people who do) — perhaps, your humanness doesn’t exist.
You should seek a cure — STAT.
- Heed a prescription of the Golden Rule (do unto others and you’d want done unto you ) take it multiple times a day.
- Take some pills of wisdom that remind you of your own imperfections, so you don’t use others imperfections against them.
- Apply an ointment of humility & kindness.
- If needed, isolate from others you might infect until your illness subsides.
You can be cured — but you have to accept the fact that you are not well. This pandemic has outbreaks happening in sanctuaries, temples, households, courts, state houses and federal administrations.
Mask up and protect your heart, mind, body and soul from the illness of hate.
