As Alabama goes, so goes America?
The time is now. Alabama must vote for change. The world must vote for change. Whether #DougJones wins or not, we still know that there are a significant amount of Americans who don’t see justice, race, gender, politics & truth in the same way many of us do. The opinions of these voters will stun some. Alabama is only a piece of the story. It will take much more to push the nation forward — and there is far more resistance than some of us wanted to believe. This is a man who wants to represent this nation, while he has been removed from judicial service twice. He has called all of his accusers liars — and has convinced others to do the same.
Moore is being validated by the president, the Republican National Committee and many other leaders. They endorse this man who values the good old days. What doea that say about them? Volumes.
But, whether Doug Moore wins or not, we have some of the most compromised politicians, who have greater loyalty for this president & their party than they have for their own words and conscious.
One has gone from this:
A “spectacular” golf course didn’t change him, nor should it change you. Maybe the headlines didn’t reach Graham’s inbox. Attention Lindsey Graham: you don’t play with bigotry; you dont hang out with misogyny; you shouldn’t befried racism; you don’t allow profiteering in the White House — did you get a discount card for next visit? Is that what your truth is worth?
The evaporation of truth, competence, morality & good reason, which might have existed in your heart and within your party is gone. What changed with your once clear perception, Senator Graham? #WordsMatter
Some elected officials will stand up for what’s right, like Alabama Senator Richard Shelby. He won’t endorse Moore — and they are party-mates. But, if other elected officials cede their own voice to appease who they once reviled, how much value will they place on what is important to you?
