Acts of the Desperate
We see the “evangelicals” masked as “conservative” for who they are. While there is no left or right in Christ, some folk “in the church” or religious community have decided to choose the state of confusion over “the church” -lies and all. Too many of the political/Christian “right” seem to have forgotten whose they are supposed to serve. The Christian “right” has grown comfortable with endorsing the same moral wrongs that they often condemn from their pulpits, deacon/trustee spaces and sanctuaries daily. How can the clergy — who have a DIRECT dial to the Most High — cede common sense, to revere a false prophet, who feels too superior to seek forgiveness for his multitude of sins. AND he’s got an amoral party to wallow with him. Is it because he promises to give them greater “access to the White House”. Apparently, that is more important than access to what’s behind the Pearly Gates -in THEIR eyes, not mine.
Clearly, it doesn’t matter that, according to Christianity Today, soon after President Biden got in office, “President Joe Biden issued an executive order on Sunday reestablishing the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, undoing former President Donald Trump’s efforts to reshape an agency that went largely unstaffed for most of his tenure.” tRump, basically, shuttered the faith office his predecessor activated, because he hated his good works.
That tRump guy is the candidate of a second chance? Things he could have done last time — but didn’t — are on his to-do list, if you choose to vote for the guy who won’t even ask God for forgiveness — because, he never makes mistakes (or admits to them).
Who — of sound mind — is willing to trust a “chosen one” who cannot be trusted by three wives, his kids, a late brother, his kids, countless business partners, foreign governments, etc? You willfully hang your pious hat on his rugged cross (10% off if you buy his self-serving, church/state Bible. Sure, trust the false prophet, whose lies contributed to countless Covid19 sufferers & cultish deaths. Because there is no greater friend than tRump (ask Jeffrey Epstein-via seance or the tapes).
What’s not to trust? A billionaire who must win to avoid penalties for his myriad crimes. After all, he is endorsed by billionaires who have everything to gain if he wins. Not to mention, the saintly media billionaire, who is openly using his X (as in formerly reputable) platform to orchestrate distributing disinformation from his family compound with multiple baby-mama’s & their kids. He’s just being fruitful and multiplying (deceivers and sister-wives). You can’t make this stuff up.
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, has reportedly purchased an Austin mansion for his 11 children along with adjoining properties for two of the three mothers of his children, according to the Austin-Statesman, which got it from the NY Times (not Twitter; LA Times or Washington Post, all billionaire playthings of shoddy journalism, where democracy dies).
I’m offended that the church has embraced the greatest hypocrite of modern times. Their “turn to God”, AND towards the embodiment of false prophethood, is an abomination. You cannot claim to be Christian & patrotic AND endorse a man who even fakes his skin color — and some more stuff. What an assortment of characters. We should have learned to reject the evils of cult leader Rev. Jim Jones, atrocity leader Hitler and too many others, to not go down these paths again. But, here we are.
At some point, the wise say enough is enough, and will choose logic over lunacy. For the others? Never forget that the company you keep, like the politicians, preachers, policies, practices you endorse, says more about YOU, than them.
I believe that the political races are not neck-and-neck. Even with voter suppression, gerrymandering & lies, God made more wise people, than unwise. God’s free-will allows the unwise to fall down that path, though. So, the delusional stand tall — and in the need of prayer. Heaven, help us all.
